Benjamin Linder Cooperative House
The Benjamin Linder Cooperative is a group of
20 wonderful young people living in a historic house in the North
State Street area which has sheltered, fed, and loved many students
for over 100 years. 6 other ICC houses are located within a 2-block
radius of Linder, and the house is only 4 blocks from the University
of Michigan's Central Campus as well as the theatres, shops, and
restaurants of North State Street. Linder is a popular place to
live because it tends to be very clean, is located in a somewhat
quiet neighborhood, yet is still close to all of the action, and
has a very high proportion of single rooms/total members. The
house also has a recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms that
are still shiny and new. Each year the house changes a little
bit, because the people change, but one can always expect fun
and imaginative house activities like creating a miniature Linder
House out of gingerbread, or throwing an impromptu dress-up party
on the porch. Linder House really is a place to call home, so
stop by and check it out!
