North Campus is composed of two houses, Renaissance
and O'Keeffe, which occupy the same building.
Together, they are referred to as "Escher House."
A free 10-minute
bus ride from U-M's Central Campus, these houses are divided
into suites of 16 to 20 people, each with a TV lounge, kitchen,
four showers, and four toilet rooms. These arrangements facilitate
social interactions and make the house feel smaller than it really
is. The building, in fact, was designed by a former ICC co-oper
and opened in 1970.
