Sustainability Team (email)
The Sustainability Team is made up of a Team Chair, any interested members and Board members as appointed by the Coordinating Committee. Their purpose is to educate team members, the Board, the Staff and the ICC membership as a whole on ways of reducing ecological harm and increasing the long-term environmental sustainability of the co-ops by maintaining the community garden, advocating sensible use of ICC resources and encouraging and supporting creative initiatives from within the ICC community to work towards these goals.
Sustainability Team Website
The sustainability team maintains an announcement list for those interested in sustainability in the co-op, university and Ann Arbor communities. Members will receive updates on sustainability related news and events being planned by the ICC as well as local environmentalist organizations. To join the list, enter your email address in the box below.
Co-op Solidarity Team (email)
The Co-op Solidarity Team aims to provide support to the cooperative and Fair Trade movements both locally and abroad. The team intends to educate ICC members about these movements, as well as promote the principle of "cooperation amongst cooperatives" by encouraging mutually beneficial relationships between the ICC and other cooperative ventures. The team also provides an opportunity for members to deepen their commitment to cooperative causes beyond the ICC, supporting the missions of local organizations such as Food Not Bombs, the United States Social Forum and the UM student organization, Students Organizing for Labor Equality (SOLE). Current projects include the creation of a calender of Cooperative and Solidarity-related events to be added to the ICC website, facilitating skill-shares led by area co-op businesses, and promoting the inclusion of more cooperative and Fair Trade products within house and ICC budgets.
The Co-op Solidarity Team also maintains the low-volume Co-op Solidarity Announcement List for interested ICC members and co-op friends to learn about co-op-related events, news, and discussions. To join the list, enter your email address in the box below!
