Susan Caya, Director of Education & Training

For any organization to truly be a co-op, they must provide
constant education for their members, employees, and the public.
Here at the ICC it is the job of Susan Caya as Director of Education
and Training (DET) to over see that. She is the staff liaison
to the Education Committee and the Diversity Committee and works
with other committee members to provide New Member Orientation,
new House Officer Training, and Board Training. She also oversees ICC
publications such as The Reporter, Summer Cooperator, Alumni
Cooperator, and various brochures and training manuals.
Cindy Christiansen, Director of Major Maintenance

As Maintenance Director, Cindy Christiansen does a little bit
of everything. Her major responsibilities include handling major
maintenance issues that encompass everything from the tip of the
roof to the foundation and every system in between. While not
researching potential new properties she is visiting all the houses
that have contractors working on projects. She also pays all the
maintenance bills and is the staff liaison for the Development
Committee (DEVO).
Geoff Mayers, Director of Annual Maintenance

As Maintenance Coordinator, Geoff helps houses stay up to city
housing code and to prepare for city inspections which happen
every 2.5 years. This includes working with contractors
and conducting our own inspections during non-city-inspection
years. As the staff representative to the Maintenance Committee,
Geoff trains and assists maintenance managers in how to tackle
maintenance projects in the ICC. Geoff is also responsible
for building and maintaining the ICC Maintenance website, managing
the ICC Tool Crib, and handling various day to day tasks of ICC
Maintenance. If you ever need assistance with completing projects
at your house, Geoff can be reached via the Request
For Assistance form (RFA), which can be found on the maintenance
section of the ICC web page.
Youmna El-Ayache-Saad, Director of Financial Services

My name is Youmna El-Ayache-Saad and I am the new Director of Finance
at the ICC. I have obtained my Undergraduate Degree in Finance and MBA
with an Audit specialization from Eastern Michigan University. I am
bilingual; I speak, read and write the English and Arabic Languages
fluently. I have been working as an accountant for over 5 years. Although,
accounting is not my only expertise; my business background also includes
Human Resources and IT experiences from my previous jobs. As the Director
of Finance, my main responsibility is to keep the books straight, create
budgets, analyze our organization's finances, pay the corporate bills,
process payroll, and file all tax forms. I also train and assist our house
treasurers to keep their records straight.
David Carter, a.k.a "Yes", Director of Member Services

Yes comes to us with over 25 years of experience
in the fields of intentional and cooperative living, education,
social research, consensus-based decision making, conflict resolution,
and social justice movements. Yes's duties include supervising
the Member Services, Marketing, and Website staff, policy administration,
conflict resolution, explanation of Standing Rules and housing
assistance to current and prospective members. He trains the In-House
Presidents who help keep the office appraised of the current house
happenings. As Director of Member Services, Yes is also the staff
liaison for the Membership, Diversity, and Recruitment Committees.
Ron Nelson, Director of Housing

Ron is the staff member to contact for any and all contract questions. This includes contract
signing and contract release request for both current and prospective ICC members. He advises
Membership Committee on any necessary rule updates to make the contract signing process as
smooth as possible, and trains all house presidents on contract signing processes. Ron supervises
the Front Desk, which is staffed by ICC members from every house. The Front Desk answers all
emails and phone calls regarding housing availability, general housing inquiries, merchandise
sales, and rental of the ICC truck.
