Due to recent changes in Ann Arbor’s rental ordinances, we urgently need your financial help. In June 2025, the City of Ann Arbor passed the Green Rental Housing Ordinance.  All rental units in Ann Arbor must either, by Jan. 6, 2026: 

1. Get a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) assessment and receive a score of 110 or below (we will not achieve this score); OR
2. Complete a 300 question checklist per property 

The average age of ICC’s properties is 126 years.  These new energy requirements require intensive and unplanned for and unbudgeted work.  We need your help.
